South Dakota's Classic Upland Hunts

Incredible Bird Numbers

Located on a historic family ranch in central South Dakota, this outfitter has access to tens of thousands of acres of private land and regularly produces fantastic hunts for pheasant, sharp-tail grouse, prairie chicken and Hungarian partridge.

The bird numbers here are incredible and many longtime clients have consistently shot limits of birds on every single day that they’ve hunted here.  The upland habitat is perfect, with cover that includes grain crops (cut into strips for effective hunting), shelter belts, wooded thickets, cattail sloughs, kosha weed patches and CRP grasslands.

Newly Constructed Lodge

Additionally, several thousand acres of their land have been developed into a licensed hunting preserve, allowing for expanded limits of pheasants and a lengthened season.  The newly constructed lodge provides modern and comfortable accommodations, and the hearty ranch style meals are always a hit.  If you’re looking for a great South Dakota pheasant hunt, along with the opportunity to also harvest 3 other species of upland birds, this outfit is a great choice.
